I wish I had a dollar for every time I’ve been at a cocktail party or dinner party and at least one lady inquires how my lipstick remains completely intact after eating and drinking!
Seriously, my lips still look as if I just applied my makeup. In fact, even though I love makeup, I really don’t enjoy having to touch-up throughout the day so, most days, how it looks in the evening is what was applied that morning.
My secret to all day lips is not one of those two step color then sealer approaches that stain your lips, but rather I line my lips with MAC lip liner in “Spice” (because I happen to LOVE a natural looking nude color) and then completely fill in the entire upper and lower lips with the lip pencil. I “seal” the color with a little translucent powder and viola! I’m able to eat, drink and be merry without having to worry about my lips smudging or fading.
