L’Occitane’s Shea Butter hand cream is not only award winning, but one is sold every three seconds around the world!!! Evidently, for some, it is indeed life changing.
Olivier Baussan started the company in 1976 and by 1980 this classic hand cream was made. Olivier traveled to West Africa in search of effective ingredients and learned that the ladies in this area were making shea butter and he was impressed with its incredibly nourishing quality. Every year L’Occitane pays homage to this cream with a collector’s edition to celebrate its roots from Burkina Faso West Africa.
This year’s collector’s edition is as lovely as the past editions, however, I’m loyal to the classic tube. Perhaps that’s because I received my first L’Occitane Shea Butter hand cream as a gift many years ago and the romance of this beautiful little tube of hand cream from Provence made me so happy I’ve never been swayed to purchase the collector’s tube.
The classic beauty of the original will always be my favorite and if you haven’t tried this hand cream, I encourage you to do so.
