The very first OPI nail color I ever picked up was “I’m Not Really a Waitress” — yes, I am serious! It’s a beautiful hot pink and I would request it frequently for my pedicures in the spring and summer months. All of you see the OPI nail polishes at your favorite nail salons because OPI nail polishes are the number one brand used by the professionals.
OPI has a very interesting history indeed … It was founded in 1981 by George Schaeffer as an artificial dental appliance company, but recognizing that nail techs were utilizing the same acrylic for artificial nails as he was using for dentures, OPI morphed into a nail care company instead. Joining forces with Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, the so-called “Lady of Nails”, Suzi personally develops and selects each of the over 200 shades.
Each color’s name is so entertaining and silly, you’ll giggle when you see each and every one. Hot pinks are no longer my favorites, however, the soft pinks are delightful. With names like, “I Think in Pink”, “Pink-A-Doodle”, “Coney Island Cotton Candy”, “Pinking of You” and my all time favorite soft pink, “Hopelessly In Love”, you’ll have a difficult time choosing your favorite.
