Among the natural yet effective brands is Burt’s Bees. This is one of those brands that you used to only see in cute little boutiques but is now ubiquitous. One of my favorite Santa Monica boutiques on Montana Avenue is Palmetto. This is the first place that I ever saw Burt’s Bees products, and they had me at hello.
The creators of Burt’s Bees began by selling home-made beeswax lip balms and hand salves at local craft fairs and slowly but surely, as word of mouth spread, their all-natural ingredients products became favorites among many.
